Your Complete Itinerary

Day 1. We depart JFK Airport, New York for Morocco.
This evening we depart JF?K?airport New York via Royal Air Maroc flight AT201 at 7:20PM.  A full meal service will be provided.  Please arrange to be at JFK Airport three hours before your flight.   We will be served a full meal aloft.  Your flight to Casablanca will only take about 6 hours.

About Morocco
In 1776 Morocco was the first country in the world to recognize the United States and has been a steady friend ever since.  Morocco offers you a lot.  Snowcapped mountains, ancient ruins, exotic casbah’s, sandy deserts, mild weather, exotic architecture and modern resorts.  It’s main cities include Marrakesh with the world’s best preserved medieval medina (a world class desert resort that was Winston Churchill's favorite place to vacation), the beautiful mysterious bastion of Fez, the magnificent political city of Rabat and Casablanca, the commercial center of Morocco.

Day 2. (B,D)  We arrive in Casablanca.  After a rest at our hotel, we will sightsee in Casablanca. Hotel Golden Tulip

We’ll be met by our representative and be taken to the Hotel Golden Tulip by our private air conditioned coach.  After we rest and freshen up at our hotel, we will go sightseeing in Casablanca.  This evening we will have dinner at our hotel.

About Casablanca
This white sun-splashed city has a very romantic past.  ("Meet me in the Kasbah")  Today this bustling European-influenced city bears no resemblance to the pirate haven of the fifteenth century, the Portuguese city of the eighteenth, or the French-controlled city of the nineteenth century.  Yet Casablanca still retains much of its old charm in the teeming old town of the Medina with its cool, whitewashed buildings and narrow streets where merchants and craftsmen clamor for your attention.   Casablanca's modern harbor is an engineering wonder, but the main attractions to see are the Royal Palace and the Great Mosque.

Day 3. (B,D)  We travel to Rabat for sightseeing and professional activities. Hotel Golden Chellah

This morning will be reserved for our professional agenda.  This afternoon we will travel by air-conditioned coach to Rabat.

About Rabat
Rabat is known as the “White City”, and is the present administrative capital of the Kingdom of Morocco, and the official residence of King Hassan II.  Known for its abundance of trees and flowers, Rabat has many public gardens and flowered avenues - fine surroundings for royalty.  The sights that we will see include: the Tour Hassan, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Royal Palace, the Oudaias Kasbah, and the official buildings of government and the diplomatic corps.

Day 4. (B,L)  We’re in Rabat. We meet with Moroccan nurses, later we have free time. Hotel Golden TulipFarah

This morning is reserved for professional activities when we meet with Moroccan nurses at a local hospital.  At our meeting we will be briefed about the Moroccan healthcare delivery system and the training, responsibilities and work practices of nurses within this system.  We will also exchange questions and answers with our Moroccan colleagues.  This afternoon we will be free to take individual sightseeing tours or lounge around the hotel pool.   This evening our tour escort will advise us about activities.

Day 5. (B,D)  We travel to Fez via a sightseeing stop in Menkes. We will also sightsee in Fez. Hotel Volubilis

We travel by air-conditioned coach to Fez via Menkes where we will sightsee.  We arrive in Fez in the mid-afternoon for more sightseeing.

About Fez
This is the most ancient of Morocco's Imperial Cities. Founded early in the ninth century by Idriss II, Fez is Morocco's most important intellectual, cultural, and religious center.   The city is hidden in a valley surrounded by hills that change colors as the sun travels across the sky.

Fez, where beauty is both produced and enjoyed, is also a great place to shop because more craft artists can be found here than any other city in Morocco.  Among the sights that we will see here are: the medinas, fountains, palaces, gardens, soaring minarets, Karaouiyne Mosque and the famous souks, offering great shopping victories.

Day 6. (B,D We’re in Fez. This morning is free, later, we attend to our professional agenda.
Hotel Volubilis

This morning is free for optional sightseeing.  You might want to visit the Borj Nord, a fascinating arms museum that is also a well-preserved medieval fortress.  You can also visit the medina with its small shops that offer excellent opportunities for you to buy beautiful gold jewelry at bargain prices.   This afternoon  time will be reserved for our professional agenda.

Day 7. (B,D) We travel to Marrakesh, arriving there in the early afternoon.  Hotel Atlas Asni

Today we travel by air-conditioned coach to Marrakesh.

About Marrakesh
Known as the "Red Pearl of the South," this exotic palm-treed oasis is located where the Sahara Desert meets the Atlas mountains.   This is the most beautiful and mysterious city in all of Morocco and Africa, and will be warm and dry during our visit.  Long popular as an exclusive resort with Europeans, Marrakesh has all of the sophisticated amenities that a world-class resort can offer.  You will enjoy refined French cuisine, and spotless hotel accommodations with friendly and considerate people to care for you.

Marrakesh is a colorful page out of Arabian Nights.  Its progress through history can be seen through its architectural marvels.  The Koutoubia Minaret has overlooked the medina here for over eight centuries. The Saadian Tombs are exquisitely handcrafted in giltwork, carra marble, and glazed tiles.  The passage of centuries can be seen in the palace, mosques, minarets, casbah’s, medinas and gardens that are spread throughout Marrakesh.

Day 8. (B,D) We are in Marrakesh sightseeing.  Tonight we enjoy a “Fantasia Dinner” Hotel Atlas Asni

We are free to lounge around the pool or go sightseeing.  You must visit the fabulous Djemaa-el-Fna, the huge open air marketplace in the heart of the medina, that hosts magicians, snake charmers, seers, healers,  and other characters visiting from thousands of years past.  Afternoon is the best time to visit this living storybook when a gigantic and exotic show of entertainers majically appears.  It's fun to walk along the square, starting with the sword swallowers and fire eaters, stopping occasionally at a snake charmer.  The musicians with fiddles and snare drums, and whirling small boys are charming and colorful.  But the fascinating Black Dancers of Mauritania will excite you as they dance and swing around this free wheeling circus.   (Bring your camera.)

Tonight we will have our farewell dinner “Fantasia Dinner” served beneath massive tents, with an exotic folk show, magic flying carpet display, and the Charge of the Light Brigade, when men on horses with muskets and torches rush through the tents.  This gala story-book banquet, with all of the color is a terrific way to end our sojourn in Morocco

Day 9.  (B) Free day in Marrakesh.

Free to shop or just lounge around the pool.  Hotel Atlas Asni

Day 10. (B) We return to New York, arrving back at JFK at 1:45PM

After an early breakfast we’re off to the airport where we will board a connecting flight to Casablanca.  There we will board our Royal Air Maroc  flight At414/200 arriving at New York’s JFK?Airport at 1:45PM.
